The Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) is opening a new group in Kenmore. The group will meet in the Meeting Room at Kenmore Library between 6 and 8pm on the second Wednesday of the month. The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday March 8 and all women are welcome.
QCWA began in 1922. It is the largest women’s organisation in Queensland with branches from Mt Isa to Quilpie and Cooktown to Coolangatta. However, you don’t have to live in the country to be a member. There are several groups in the Greater Brisbane area and Kenmore will be the next one. To find out more, contact Christine at email@example.com or 3202 7510.
QCWA is about friendship, about community and about being connected. It offers a wide range of activities tailored to the interests of local members. It also offers friendship and the opportunity to contribute to local, national and international communities.
QCWA is different things to different people. If you would like to meet new people, learn how to help others, listen to interesting people talk about their experiences, learn a new craft or brush up on an old one – join us! QCWA is definitely not just tea and scones! Check out the website http://www.qcwa.org.au
