As I recover from emergency knee surgery I’m being driven around in the Pullenvale Councillor car to report potholes in the roads of Mt Crosby, Karana Downs and Moggill. Reporting the potholes allows Council’s road maintenance teams to prioritise the road conditions and establish the routine of fixing them.
Every year 85000 potholes across Brisbane are reported and fixed by Council. 556 of those have been attended to in the Pullenvale Ward over the past 3 months. A further 38 have been identified and reported by me personally whilst inspecting the road quality of the Ward. This is the beginning of a mammoth task. The entire Ward covers 18 suburbs and I’m only 1 person! So, I’m calling for your contribution as residents of the Pullenvale Ward. If you happen to notice a pothole please jump onto my website and you’ll notice a couple of options to ‘SUBMIT a Fix-o-gram’. Click on this link and select ‘Road Maintenance’ to report a pothole in your street or suburb and Council will fix it.
Thanks to all the local residents who’ve called in at the Ward Office or made contact via the website, e-mail or phone. Your comments and concerns are valuable and our hardworking team at the Ward Office always appreciate your courtesy.
